JOINT TOWN BOARD MEETING
MINUTES
OCTOBER 26, 2017
ARBOR VITAE TOWN HALL

This joint town board meeting was noticed according to State Statue 19.84. Posted as required by law, news media notified. Woodruff board members present were Chairman Michael Timmons, Supervisors Corky Sheppard, Ed Richardson, Barry Seidel Jr., and Shirley Jacoby. Arbor Vitae Board members present were Chairman Frank Bauers, Supervisors Brian Nerdahl and Ryan Johnson. Brandy Park Commission Members present were Raymond Christenson, Todd Hunter, Todd Morgan and Philip Theiler. Also present were Christine Woynich-WD Clerk, Mary Reuland-AV Clerk, Chris Seeliger, Candy Sorenson, Ann & Jason Sorenson, Stacey Johnson, Tim Collins, and Brian Jopek-Lakeland Times.
Chairman Bauers called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Pledge of Allegiance conducted.
1. PROPOSED INDOOR RACQUET SPORTS FACILITY
Tim Collins and Stacey Johnson gave a presentation and asked for consideration as Brandy Park is in a round-up of site locations. Nerdahl stated that the Wisconsin Town’s Association advised him that the voters would need to approve this building plan, and not the boards. General consensus of Arbor vitae Board, Woodruff board, and Brandy Park Commission stated that they would like to go forward with a feasibility study being done on this sight, although no formal vote was taken. No action taken.
2. BRANDY PARK APPROPRIATION FOR 2018
Reuland and Bauers asked the Woodruff Board to reconsider appropriating money to Brandy Park Commission in 2018. Reuland stated that Arbor Vitae takes responsibility for plowing, maintaining the ice rink, procuring the insurance, and payroll tasks. Seidel Jr. and Jacoby stated that commissions are not meant to have money in savings. Several members pointed out that the money in savings was allocated for upcoming projects such as replacing skate park ramp coverings, equipment upgrades, and bath house remodel. The Town of Arbor Vitae will go forward with appropriating $13,000 to the Brandy Park Commission in 2018. The Woodruff Town Board will move forward with appropriating $0.
3. ADJORURNMENT
Motion by Bauers, seconded by Timmons to adjourn; meeting adjourned at 7:59PM.
